Azarenka retires in first round at Hobart
Victoria Azarenka, bothered by an abductor injury she developed at the Gold Coast tournament last week, retired during her first round at the Moorilla Hobart International. Azarenka was forced to stop at 1-3 in the first set, giving the win to Olga Govortsova.

all these injuries and retirements makes it feel like the end of the season not the start!
I think Aussie tennis series including AO should be moved till later Feb...it's too hot right now and the players need longer break!

I think the players are supposed to get a longer break in the future. Of course, if they used wooden racquets, this wouldn't be happening.
