Top seeds upset in Linz--Kvitova and Wickmayer go to final

First it was number 2 seed Agnieszka Radwanska who, today, lost her chance to go to the Generali Ladies Linz final: Radwanska was defeated 6-3, 6-2 by Petra Kvitova. Then top seed Flavia Pennetta was defeated 7-6, 6-3 by Yanina Wickmayer.

Things didn't go as planned in Osaka, either, with top seed Caroline Wozniacki getting upset by 3rd seed Samantha Stosur, 6-0, 4-6, 6-4. Stosur hit twelve aces, and had 74 and 55 first and second serve win percentages.

Stosur will play 4th seed Francesca Schiavone in the final. Schiavone defeated Sania Mirza 6-2, 6-1.

I think it is definitely going to be Schiavone who wins it.

I am hoping Wickmayer wins because it would be nice for her to follow up on her semifinal showing at the US Open plus the other international title she won this year. It would also be nice for Stosur to finally step up and win a her first tournament after several finals.
