That's actually part of his scheme. He positions himself so that passers-by will rub his tummy. He also tends to strike this pose if one of the female cats comes into the room. They just give him an "I've seen it before" look.
LOL those cats are too funny. Runty and Patches are kind of still getting along but boy is Runty getting feisty now. They have stopped fighting but when feeding time comes around I have to separate them because Runty just spreads herself all over the food plate and never gives Patches a chance to eat.
As to Runty, my bed seems to be her favourite place in the house. A fact which really annoys me.
You're not going to keep cats off of the bed unless you close the door (and then they tend to hurl themselves against the door)! When it's cool, all of ours sleep on the bed, and when it's warm, you can usually find at least two on there.
