Lauren Embree defeated Nicole Gibbs 6-3, 7-6 in the final of the U.S. French Open wild card knock-out tournament this morning in Boca Raton.
Embree is ranked number 1 in the U.S. in the 18 and younger division, and 7 in the world in the junior division. She lives in Marco Island, Florida, where she is a high school senior.

Embree is No. 7 in the world in the ITF junior rankings.
And she's actually now No. 1 in the USTA 18-and-under rankings.
Okay, thanks Colette. I looked at information Lauren herself had written and mistakenly assumed it would be correct--I guess she needs to update it.
