Interesting first round matches in Rome

Here are some first round matches in Rome that have potential interest:

Agnieszka Radwanska vs. Alona Bondarenko--Bondarenko runs hot and cold. On a so-so day, she can lose in straight sets to Radwanska. But on a good day, she can give Radwanska trouble.

Tsvetana Pironkova vs. Flavia Pennetta--If Pennetta is feeling mentally tired (like she appeared to be feeling in her final set today), she could get worn down by relentless baseliner Pironkova. I don't expect it to happen, but Pironkova has her moments.

Alize Cornet vs. Ai Sugiyama--On paper, this looks like a breeze for Cornet, but Sugiyama sometimes flashes her golden days form, and Cornet is just a mess these days.

Agnes Szavay vs. Caroline Wozniacki--This is the most interesting of the lot. Szavay, who had a terrible year in 2008, has been playing more in-form. Surprisingly, the two have never played each other, which makes the match even more interesting.
