Arrubabarrena-Vecino wins Cali title

2nd seed Lara Arrubabarrena-Vecino won the WTA 125K Copa Bionaire in Cali, Colombia today. Arrubabarrena-Vecino defeated local favorite Catalina Castano 6-3, 6-2. Castano entered the tournament as a wild card.

Arrubabarrena-Vecino won the Bogota tournament, a WTA internationa event, last year.

Castano and her partner, Mariana Duque-Marino, won the doubles title by defeating Florencia Molinero and Teliana Pereira 3-6, 6-1, 10-5 in the final.

Just continuing with the whole "agreeing with everyone" vibe...I agree with Diane...and go one step farther and say that besides her breathing problems, Kvitova is a tremendous athlete. In the match against Serena, she was moving side to side and retrieving so many high-velocity shots like a gazelle...and she was barely breathing hard...

Her court movement has improved dramatically, and her volleys--always good, are better than ever.

She's definitely successful in Colombia, after her title in Bogota last year.
