Quote of the day

"I know what to do on the big points, I know what my strengths are, and I improved my weaknesses as well. I've also improved my movement a lot, and physically, to be able to hang in there against these types of players--it's important to me mentally."
Marion Bartoli

Sure, if dad was coaching me on court and in the stands, i would know how to play the big points too.

I've watched Bartoli play many times when Walter wasn't around, and she does know how to play the big points. She just needs to remember that she can play them--on her own.

Why, when she has the good doctor doing it for her. The illegal coaching needs to stop, better yet, the wta needs to get rid of "all" on court coaching or fine those heavily who do.

I don't like on-court coaching, either, Anon, but the WTA thinks that it--like publishing air-brushed zombie photos--is good for the tour. And while I think Marion should have received an illegal coaching warning, I think that most players should in most matches.

Illegal coaching is the standard, which doesn't say much for the tour. Remember when Carlos Rodriguez said he might as well do it in plain sight because just about every other coach did it?
