"Birthplace of the upskirt"

Though American feminists may find it hard to believe--the sexism problem in professional tennis is considerably worse in the UK. Marina Hyde of The Guardian writes about it.

I owe you an apology Diane. After initially reading your displeasure with the work of Dick Enberg, I dismissed it. Partly because when I listen to his past work on old Wimbledon and French Open dvds, I find him to be quite good. This Wimbledon, however, has been a sexist disaster for the commentator. Sad to see him fall this far (or perhaps this was always the case and I never noticed)...?

I think, David, as Enberg has gotten older, he has likely gotten worse. The incident with Kim Clijsters was the end-all for me.

Apology accepted :)

If you don't mind me asking, what was the incident with Kim Clijsters?
I have never heard this man commentate before, as I am from Australia, so i'm curious to know what he does

When Clijsters won the U.S. Open, he was interviewing her, and he wouldn't let her talk. Finally, she said "May I say some words?" He nodded, but didn't hand her the microphone, so she said "May I hold the mic?" Then he turned to her and said "May I hold you?"

He recently commented on Serena Williams: "Bootylicious on the move!"
