Raymond & Stubbs, together again
No one said the "l" word, or even the "g" word, but tonight's lengthy and very entertaining Tennis Channel feature on Lisa Raymond and Rennae Stubbs was as much about their former romantic relationship as it was about their history of playing doubles together. With the world of women's pro tennis constantly straining itself to broadcast "No lesbians here!" in a variety of ways, it was a surprise to see Raymond and Stubbs chatting about their relationship, their breakup, and their enduring love for one another. Even more surprising was that the story was done by a media organization that has made no effort to curb its sexism.

I don't have the tennis channel! :( *sob* *waiting patiently for someone to upload it to youtube*
Dani
Dani, you might keep an eye on the Tennis Channel website's Videos page, but I'm doubtful that the Raymond/Stubbs feature was brief enough to be listed as a "short," and there is no other category there that is appropriate.
This post explains a lot for me. I was watching their doubles semi and curious about the banter between the two ladies -- it seemed slightly charged with past poisons.
They are gay? I had no idea. I actually thought they were both married to men and had children.
They were a couple for a few years. It was no secret that they were gay, and eventually, Stubbs talked to the media about their (by that time, "former") relationship, which made their being out "official."
@Dani: the video is now on youtube.

I really recommend watching it. It's refreshing to see two people being able to talk about their past relationship so freely and to not care what people might be saying. You can really tell how much they love each other in the video =).
Thanks for finding it, Dani. It really is worth watching.
It was taken down of YouTube....:( Anyone else have it?
Of course, the writer is completely fair.
Does anyone still have that video? :(
