Venus Williams says she is hoping to win some titles and has her mind on the Olympic Games. "Serena and I will have to be in the best shape of our lives for London. We have to be machines to play in three events. It's something like fourteen matches in eight days. We had better be ready."
Not surprisingly, Vera Zvonareva was recently presened with Russia's Female Tennis Player of the Year award.

Edina Gallovits is getting married during the off-season.
Hmmm, I wonder if the belief in JJ at this point is a bit of wishful thinking? I'm thinking that Ivanovic is probably the Serb most likely to win a future slam at this point. Of course, that might be a case of simply having a short memory and being overly influenced by what's most recently happened on the court.
ReplyDeleteI still believe that Jankovic can win a slam, with a good draw and perhaps a bit of luck I think she could pull it off, but then again the same could be said to any other player. I wouldn't be surprised though if she doesn't win one, however assuming that she does she'll most likely win a French or a U.S. Open.
