I actually wished that Wozniacki had skipped Ponte Verde. I think she needs to not worry about defending small tournaments and to peak at the bigger premier events and the majors. I remember in 2008 del Potro won 4 small tourneys in a row. In 2009, he did not bother defending them all-if any. Instead being higher in the rankings he concentrated on the summer masters and then won the US Open. I had hoped Wozniacki would start thinking about this.
She is playing well. An outside chance at Roland Garros?

ReplyDeleteWozniacki plays a lot of tournaments, just like Jankovic used to do. It would probably help her to focus on bigger ones at this point.
