Kuznetsova wins China Open
Svetlana Kuznetsova won the 2009 China Open today, defeating Agnieszka Radwanska 6-2, 6-4 in the final. Kuznetsova was seeded 6th at the tournament. She has now won three titles this year.
Shame Rads couldn't have won - it would have sneaked her into Doha! She has to be one of the most likeable players on the tour right now - such a lovely smile & gentle manner. Probably my 2nd favourite player after Dina, x
Radwanska will have to get some kind of second serve before she can do better. I don't know why she hasn't made an improvement in that area because the rest of her game is quite good.
She played well here in winning which shows that she should have a better Grand Slam record than she does.
ReplyDeleteYes, she certainly should. She has it all, but she can get shaky at big moments.
