1986 French Open final
The 1986 French Open final between Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova will be shown tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 8 p.m., and again at 11 p.m. EST on Tennis Channel. Both the 1985 and 1986 finals are classics worth seeing again and again.
Speaking of Tennis Channel, did you get to see any of the Wimbledon Centre Court ceremony/exhibition on Sunday? I do wish they'd decided to promote that a little better during the day, considering they had people's attention with the Madrid finals being shown. Maybe they had some commercials for it, but I didn't see any.
I thought Clijsters looked pretty good. And it always makes me feel good inside to see Graf smiling so much on the court, considering she did so little of that when she was still an active champion.
I saw some of it--a little here and there. I, too, found the promotion scarce, and yes, it was a pleasure to see Graf. But the one person who really should have been there was, of course, absent--Katharine, the Duchess of Kent.
