Wimbledon, Day 1

Player of the day: Patty Schnyder, who came from 0-5 in the 3rd set to win against Camille Pin. This is a remarkable comeback for anyone, but especially for Schnyder, who--once she loses confidence (she played a great first set, then things didn't go so well), especially on grass, her weakest surface--generally becomes too stressed to pull through. She said in her interview that one of her strategies was just to imagine she was on clay! Final score: 6-1, 4-6, 8-6
