Update on Vera Zvonareva
The good (I guess) news: She has been signed by IMG.
The other news: Her doctors have declared that she will be out from two to twelve weeks with the ankle injury. The precision of this estimate leaves a lot to be desired, but it's all we have.

Even if it is 12 weeks, it could have been a lot worse.
That is a good point. I hope Vera can see it that way, too.
When she hurt her wrist in Charleston in 2007, she was told she would need surgery and would be out for a long, long time. It turned out that she didn't need surgery at all, and she was back sooner than predicted. Not a "happy" ending, but a better one that we expected.
