Mauresmo confirms she will not play in Olympics
With Mary Pierce withdrawing from the French Olympic team, Amelie Mauresmo was expected to take the open slot, but she has refused, so Pauline Parmentier will be the new team member. Parmentier just won the Gastein Ladies in Bad Gastein.

personally I was hoping momo would go cos she has always said the Olympics means alot to her. but i guess if this is what she wants to do then gosh i hope she doesn't regret her decision not to go when she looks back years from now.
the french team is a joke...so many talented player withdrawn/injured.

At least they have Cornet. And generally speaking, Razzano is a pretty good pick, but she isn't having a good season.
yes cornet is good but she probably isn't what you would call a "medal contender"
sorry but she's just not - at this stage...maybe in a few years...london 1012.
Dani
I agree, Dani, on a practical level--but here are two words to remember: Nicolas Massu.
