Williams sisters say they want to play in Fed Cup final

Speaking for herself and her sister, Venus Williams--in Italy for the Internazionali BNL d'Italia--said today that she and Serena would both "love to play" in the Fed Cup final in November if they are healthy. November marks the end of the season, and both sisters are quite prone to injury, so perhaps Captain Fernandez should not get her hopes up too much.

Not if I were picking the roster. Where were they for the first two rounds? MJ should go with what got them to the finals.

There is a lot of controversy about this. Should MJF reward the players who took the team to the final, or do what is presumably best for the team? I don't think it's going to be an issue because I don't think the sisters are going to be available.

I would be nice to have the Williams sisters play but if they don't thats ok, let the new fed coach stay with the team she has. I believe thats why the USTA hired her and fired Garrison. So will see how many fed cups the U.S takes in the 3 years.
